This course is an introduction to the product design process.

Barry Kudrowitz, Bill Fienup, and Professor David Wallace founded the MIT’s Toy Lab in 2004 with research funding provided by Hasbro Inc. The initial project of the Toy Lab involved developing new concepts for Nerf™ and Supersoaker® brand products. The Nerf Atom Blaster, a toy developed in this lab, is now currently on the market. Over the past few years, the MIT Toy Lab and Class 2.00b has grown in both research scope and membership and is now limiting enrollment because of its popularity.
